Some more theory crafting
Is it just me or does The last panel makes AG look evil. D:
Maybe just maybe she is not smiling about stopping gabby but smiling about taking the lamp and using it for her selfish desires that we may not know about yet.
If we are still going on the narrative that she is evil maybe she faked about having amnesia so Jeff will help her without having him ask questions and start to piece stuff together and stop helping her. she also uses jeff alot to get out of situations without doing any work. On panel 6 she might have act being shocked about Jeff being attacked. that is probably why she didn't try to help him. Also On panel 3 AG knocked the sword off the lamp and disarmed jer so he won't brake the lamp. Maybe the locket she owns might have connections to the lamp or some evil power. If so (with the evil power) maybe she is choosing not to open it. Somewhat off topic but Back on pg 168 she seems surprised that Jeff kissed her on the cheek and on pg 167 was embarrassed about the idea of "acting like a couple" with (to her) another pawn. even though before it was thrown out there that AG might like Jeff.
If all of this is true my last theory will be wrong is some places or maybe gabby is actually good while her parallel universe self (AG) is the evil one all along.
I know all this my seem silly Just to get all of this from one panel. but this is just a theory and its fun to dig super deep like this even if you are 100% wrong. who knows whats she is really smiling about the lamp or stoping gabby. the only thing that kills this theory is panel 5 and 6 for if AG is truly in it for the lamp why would she let Jeff give the lamp to the Genie hunter. Unless AG knew that he was going to drop the lamp where she can easily pick it up, but that seems highly unlikely.
But only time can tell.
I thought that after I drew it too LogicShogun, but it still might catch her off guard and surprise her :P I considered adding a "twisting" effect to the last panel, but that might be a bit much, if she twisted the candle stick a bit, that could hold Gabby back, but I don't want people to think she twisted it so much it broke her hand/arm.
@Lord Ai (Guest): While there is a possibility that she is actually evil, a lot of what you just said... doesn't make that much sense. For one, Gabby is certainly not good. That much I can tell you. I'm sure there is good in her, but right now it is very clear she is in the wrong.
Secondly, that smile may seem evil but it's more triumphant than anything. Jeff and Jeremy have made the same smile when things go their way, and while it can be argued that Jer is a little evil, Jeff certainly isn't.
Third, the reason she was surprised about Jeff kissing her is because... well, that's normal. For one, she's just met the guy. Even if at that point she did like him, it would be mostly just interest at that point rather than a complete crush. It's always awkward when someone just kisses you like that, even if you like them, if you two aren't together.
That said, she likely does have connections to the lamp.
Unless the author is planning on leaving her plot open ended for the next season.
But here's the thing, I sorta get the feeling she DOES care about Jeff. When Jeff tosses the lamp up at that other guy, and gets tackled by Jeremy, she doesn't look up at the lamp, she looks at Jeff with concern.
Lord Ai, there's something very wrong with your theory
Your theory is very interesting, but there's something very wrong with it: you said that gabby is actually good.
The same person who we have already established:
Took advantage of Jeremy being turned into a baby to kidnap him and planned to groom him to become his husband.
And, in this chapter, use a genie to erase Jeremy's memory so, again, he would become her husband.
I don't usually dismiss theories out of hand, but that part of your theory, at least, goes against everything that was established in the previous chapters, and in this very chapter, so it's extremely unlikely, if not impossible, that TM will do such an about face with Gabby.
@Ultimate the Hedgehog and @mango thank you both for the constructive criticism. I will view this as a learning experience for later down the road (If i have another theory). I will take more time and research than the theory that was presented here. Instead of just pulling stuff out of my butt and just wanting a theory out there for the sake of having one out there (not caring if it makes any sense or not).
I'd have to say that I'm also wondering what's going on with this girl, particularly with her color scheme. I do admit, she does make red hair and blue eyes look cute, but it also strikes me as odd... *wink* *wink*.
